Who is Nicolle Kapustin?
Nicolle graduated with a Masters Degree in Health Science (Child and Adolescent Health) in 2005 and gained her registration as a Psychologist in 2007.
Nicolle started her career as a Child Protection Caseworker and then worked at a range of foster care and residential care agencies, as a Caseworker and then as a Psychologist. In those five full-time years, Nicolle learned the importance of going out into the field and seeing for herself the kind of emotional and mental support that is really needed among families today. As such, Nicolle loves getting to know her clients and is particularly able to relate to children and teenagers and build rapport and trust quickly. Nicolle also values being a flexible and responsive Psychologist and is able to think quickly on her feet to introduce new subject matters and activities that get her clients thinking, talking and opening up to share their feelings, problems and experiences.
Over the years, Nicolle has completed further training in child psychology, developmental trauma, art and play therapy, suicide prevention and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She continually attends seminars, webinars, conferences and in-house sessions to consolidate and update her training in her various relevant fields of interest.
In 2010, Nicolle launched her own successful practice, Nicolle Kapustin & Associates, where she works with adults, teenagers and children to assist with anxiety, trauma and other emotional and mental health concerns.
Nicolle brings a wealth of experience and a lot of passion to her role as a psychologist, and enjoys tapping into her knowledge of the inner workings of the Family Court of Australia, the NSW Department of Family & Community Services (FACS) and in her newly appointed role as a Children’s Champion for NSW Victims Services.
Who is Jess Dolev?
Jess graduated with a Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Sydney. An empathetic and compassionate child and family Therapist and Counsellor, Jessica has more than 10 years’ experience in the public health sector, as well as extensive private non-government practice within organisations across Australia and internationally. She is also an accredited Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counsellor, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Practitioner and Therapeutic Drummer.
Jess’ professional expertise spans all age groups and she is able to relate to her clients with ease as she has also applied her knowledge, skills and insight to a series of personal and family issues, including complex trauma, childhood abuse, mental health issues, parenting issues, domestic violence, relationship issues, drug and alcohol abuse, family conflict, disabilities and much more.
Jessica’s career started in drug and alcohol services, child protection services, the Family Court of Australia, and private practice, as well as working as an independent Consultant Assessor.
